Long term partner of Ospreys Rugby and Swansea-based haulage firm, A T Morgan & Son recently set aside their day-to-day duties to welcome the local community to their site in Fabian Way for the first official Swansea Truck Pull.
In an epic show of strength and team spirit, teams of four lined up to compete against one another pulling one of the A T Morgan trucks across a set distance. Overall, the event helped to fundraise over £4,000 for the South West Wales Cancer Centre in Swansea.
Supporting on the day, members of Ospreys in the Community were on hand with inflatables to keep guests entertained in and around the main attraction, alongside supporting food and drink vendors and local businesses donating to the unique event.
Stephen and Helen Morgan, co-owners of haulage firm A.T. Morgan & Son, who sponsor Ospreys captain Jac Morgan, have been avid supporters of South West Wales Cancer Centre after experiencing a personal loss. They have endeavoured to raise much needed funding to aid the work of the organisation, which Ospreys Rugby has and continues to support.
Speaking on the event, Helen said: ”We were overwhelmed with the support from local businesses, customers and the community, the Swansea Truck Pull proved to be a very entertaining and enjoyable event for spectators and competitors too. We were so happy with the success of the fundraising”
With the Swansea Truck Pull now set to be an annual event for years to come, we look forward to supporting A T Morgan & Son on making it bigger and better in 2025.
