The Ospreys are delighted to welcome SO Coffee as the club’s Official Coffee Partner, marking a special moment for former Osprey Scott Otten as his name returns to the jersey for the first time since retiring.
Owned by Otten, who made 110 appearances for the club between 2014 and 2021, SO Coffee will be served to supporters at St Helen’s on matchdays and across hospitality as the Ospreys prepare to make the historic seafront ground their new home.
The partnership will also see SO Coffee feature on the back of the Ospreys’ number two jersey - a fitting choice for Otten, who wore the number two shirt throughout his playing career.
The deal marks a special return to the club for Otten, bringing together his past as an Osprey with his present as a business owner, as the club begins an exciting new chapter at St Helen’s.
Richard Lancaster, Managing Director at the Ospreys, said: “It’s always special when one of our own comes back into the Ospreys family, and Scott’s story is a brilliant one.
“He gave a lot to this club, both on and off the pitch, and has built a business he’s proud of. To have SO Coffee with us as we move into St Helen’s, with the brand appearing on the back of the number two jersey, feels right.”
Scott Otten, owner of SO Coffee, said: “This one means a lot to me. Pulling on the Ospreys jersey was one of the proudest things I’ve ever achieved.
Seeing SO Coffee on the back of the number two jersey is a special moment for me. Having spent over half of my life at the club, either playing or within the business, to come full circle and share this moment with my daughter and wife makes it even more special.
The Ospreys have been such a huge part of my life, so to be involved with the club again, and at St Helen’s of all places, is amazing. I can’t wait to see supporters enjoying a coffee with us on matchdays and to watch the 2’s run out with SO Coffee on their backs.”
Supporters will be able to enjoy SO Coffee for the first time when the Ospreys welcome the Dragons to St Helen’s for their first home fixture at the ground on 24 October.
