St Helen's view out to Swansea Bay

Update on the St Helen's redevelopment

As we prepare to make St Helen's our new home, work is continuing at pace to deliver the first phase of the redevelopment ahead of our opening fixture.

Given the timescales for Phase 1, we have had to prioritise the work required to get the stadium ready and sequence some elements into later phases. As part of this, it remains our ambition that the roof over the terrace will be delivered in a future phase rather than as part of Phase 1. A terrace roof has to withstand everything the weather can throw at it, and we will not compromise on getting the design and safety standards right.

Any Season Member who currently holds a terrace place will be able to move to the Family Stand for the coming season. Our ticketing team will make that switch simple, details below.

We know some supporters were looking forward to a covered terrace from day one, and we wanted to be clear about this ahead of the move. A covered terrace remains part of our longer-term plan for St Helen's, and we will continue working with our partners to deliver it in future phases.

The immediate priority is making sure St Helen's is ready to welcome the Ospreys and our supporters against the Dragons on 24 of October and then Cardiff on 31 of October. The terrace will remain an important part of the matchday experience, putting supporters close to the action and creating the atmosphere we want at our new home. Across the stadium, we are also developing further fan engagement, entertainment and activities before, during and after games.

Phase 1 is the start of St Helen's development, not the finished product, and we will keep working to improve both the venue and the experience it offers supporters.
