St Helen's Update

Ospreys unveil St Helen’s redevelopment plans as club builds for the future

Ospreys Rugby has today unveiled its vision for the redevelopment of St Helen’s, setting out plans to create a modern, vibrant home for the club while staying true to its history and roots in the region.

Work on the redevelopment will begin next week, marking a major step forward in the club’s move to St Helen’s ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Once complete, the redevelopment will transform St Helen’s into a venue designed around both performance and supporter experience, delivering significant upgrades for fans, players, staff and the wider community.

Key features of the plans include a new South Stand, and a redeveloped West Stand and terrace, ensuring an improved atmosphere and enhanced matchday experience across the ground.

Supporters will also benefit from the introduction of a designated fan zone, creating a more engaging and social environment on matchdays, alongside a wide range of hospitality.

Due to the scale and timing of the project, the redevelopment will be delivered through a phased approach, allowing Ospreys to play in the stadium for the 26/27 Season.

Ospreys’ CEO Lance Bradley said: “This is an important moment for the Ospreys. St Helen’s has a proud history, and these plans are about building on that to create a home that reflects who we are and where we’re going.

“We would like to thank Swansea Council for their continued support and collaboration throughout this process. Working together has been vital in helping us move these plans forward and ensuring St Helen’s can become a venue that serves both the Ospreys and the wider community.

“We want to create a venue that brings people together, not just for rugby, but as a focal point for our community, whilst also giving our players and staff the environment they need to perform.

“Delivering this in phases allows us to move forward at pace while being able to play at St Helen’s next season, which is incredibly important to us.”

Further details, including timelines and additional features, will be shared in due course as the project progresses.

Season Memberships for the 26/27 campaign will go on sale on Tuesday 26th May, offering supporters the opportunity to be part of the next chapter at St Helen’s from the very beginning.
