Ospreys in the Community have selected two fundraising heroes to take on the TCS London Marathon in April 2026. They'll be raising vital funds to help support OitC's lifechanging work across our community.
Neil Navarra, OitC Fundraising Manager says: "We’re delighted to have secured spaces in such am iconic event for the next 4 years. The funds raised by our runners, play a really important role in maintaining the programs we run across the region. Emma and Ollie will be great ambassadors for the foundation, and we’re really excited to support them through their TCS London Marathon journey."
Let's meet the team:
Oliver Moore: Owner, The Perch

'Taking on the London Marathon is going to be a massive challenge, but I'm really looking forward to pushing myself and getting through it. I'm proud to be running in support of Ospreys in The Community, a charity that does such important work across our region.
As the owner of The Perch on Wind St, I am hoping to put on plenty of fundraising events and teaming up with other local businesses to raise as much as we can. It's going to be tough, but knowing it's all for a great cause will keep me going.'
Emma Lewis: Firefighter

After 17 years as a PE teacher, Welsh Hockey international and previous gym owner, I’ve always been passionate about fitness, pushing limits, and inspiring others to do the same. Now, as a trainee firefighter, I’m taking on another new challenge—one that’s been on my bucket list for years: running the London Marathon!
This isn’t just about running 26.2 miles. It’s about paying it forward to the incredible work the Ospreys do in the community. I’ve seen firsthand how sports can bring people together and change lives, and I’m excited to contribute to that in my own little way.
With the marathon approaching and my 40th birthday on the horizon, I couldn’t be more pumped to finally cross this off my bucket list. It’s a test of seeing how the old legs hold out, determination and I’m ready to go the distance—literally and figuratively. Let’s make it count!
We'll be following along with Emma and Ollie over the next few months as they tackle their training. Your can donate to support them through the long practise runs here.
