Ospreys in the Community highlights success of Fit, Fed, Fun Camps

Ospreys in the Community has once again showcased its commitment to the community through the successful delivery of its Fit, Fed, Fun camps.

Designed with a mission to combat holiday hunger and promote an active lifestyle, these camps have made a meaningful impact on participants and their families in areas of deprivation.

This season saw the launch of 30 Fit, Fed, Fun camps, attracting a total of 957 enthusiastic participants. Through these camps OitC has provided 1,000 meals, ensuring that children have access to healthy food during the school holidays. For many families, these meals have been a lifeline, addressing the critical issue of holiday hunger while enabling young people to enjoy a wholesome and fulfilling experience.

The Fit, Fed, Fun camps are delivered in partnership with the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU), emphasising the collaborative spirit that drives these initiatives. Each camp not only focuses on nutrition but also offers young participants the chance to engage in rugby skills sessions, promoting physical fitness and teamwork.

The camps serve as a vital link between participants and local rugby clubs. By fostering a sense of community, OitC are helping individuals feel connected and supported, creating pathways for young people to pursue their passion for rugby beyond the events.
