18TH APRIL 2026

Ospreys try scorers: Dan Edwards, Jac Morgan, Garyn Phillips

Conversions: Dan Edwards (3)

Player of the Match: Jac Morgan

The hits were big in this bruising encounter at the Brewery. Ospreys showed deft hands in all three of our tries, before overcoming huge pressure to see out the game with 14 men.

Ospreys came out firing, making metres in the collision zone and putting in huge hits in defence. The first spoils of the game went our wayas Luke Morgan made a crucial turnover that gave Dan Edwards the opportunity to clear into the 22.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! Dan Edwards played a smart dink over a couple Sharks defenders that was recovered superbly by Iestyn Hopkins. Iestyn offloaded to Evardi who gave a superb, scooped pass in contact to the Postman on the left wing. Kasende responded with a pop inside back to Dan Eds who chucked on the afterburners and finished what he started.. The boys brought out their inner Harlem Globetrotters for that one, before Dan Eds converted his own score. Ospreys 7 - 0 Hollywoodbets Sharks.

The Sharks responded soon after. A penalty gave them a lineout on the five and Phepsi Buthelezi came away with the try from the maul. Conversion missed. Ospreys 7 - 5 Hollywoodbets Sharks.

The visitors carried on from the momentum of their score, working their way up the field to earn another penalty in the Ospreys 22. But, the boys stood firm and won a crucial turnover.

SO CLOSE! Owen Watkin floated a miss pass to the Postman on the left wing who absorbed the contact and offloaded to Evardi on the blindside. Evardi broke down the touchline and managed to deliver it Kieran Hardy who held onto it superbly, but was just brought down by a recovering Sharks defender in the 22.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! The Ospreys scrum began to bear fruit as they won yet another penalty. Dan Eds hit a pinpoint kick to touch just over five metres out. We went to the maul and Captain Jac powered over for the score. Conversion good from Dan Edwards. Ospreys 14 - 5 Hollywoodbets Sharks.

The boys were carrying like their lives depended on it in the first half, spearheaded by Jac and Morgan Morris who were bouncing off Sharks defenders with ease. But, the next score went against the tide to the Shatks who magicked a score from nothing.

The Ospreys had possession in the Sharks’ 22, but a flailing leg knocked the ball loose at the ruck and the ball found its way into the hands of Ethan Hooker who ran the length of the pitch to score under the sticks. Try converted. Ospreys 14 - 12 Hollywoodbets Sharks.

HALF TIME: Ospreys 14 - 12 Hollywoodbets Sharks

The visitors definitely enjoyed the stronger start to the second half in terms of possession and territory, but some relentless yet organised defence from the boys meant that the Ospreys held their lead.

Jac continued his incredible first half performance, proving he really can do anything. In the space of 10 minutes, he counter rucked through three Sharks players to win a turnover and played a left footed kick into the back field to put the visitors under pressure.

TRY FOR THE OSPREYS! The Sharks attempted to play out from their 22 but the Postman intercepted and beat several defenders before offloading to Garyn Phillips who carried a Sharks defender over the line with him for his first Ospreys try. Ospreys 21 - 12 Hollywoodbets Sharks.

Following a scrum on the five Garyn Phillips suffered an injury, forcing the Ospreys into losing a man to make the front row replacement. Uncontested scrums followed for the rest of the game.

Sharks now had all the pressure and were pressing on the Ospreys line, but eventually knocked on and allowed us to clear. But, with the man advantage, the Sharks were finally able to get the score they'd been fighting for. Phepsi Buthelezi crossed again off the back of a maul. Conversion missed. Ospreys 21 - 17 Hollywoodbets Sharks.

The final twenty were a bruising back and forth encounter as both teams wrestled for posession and territory. Sharks used the man advantage well, but were unable to finish with several handling errors continually turning posession over to Ospreys. The boys did well to protect the ball and keep running at the Sharks line.

In the final play, Sharks had an attacking lineout in the Ospreys half but again knocked on out the back. Ospreys fed the ball out of the scrum and cleared the line as the clock went red.

A hard fought win at the Electric Brewery Field, where the crowd were in full voice!
