Ospreys vs Zebre Parma: Ones to Watch

The first home game of the season is upon us! We play host to Zebre Parma, who put out a top performance against Ulster last week and will be looking to build on that as they travel to the Swansea.com Stadium.

With that in mind, we put together our Ones to Watch list for the fixture.

Simone Gesi

Gesi lit up the BKT URC last year and was rewarded for his form after being named in the URC’s Elite XV for the 2022/23 season.

Recognition didn’t stop there though for Gesi, the winger was also handed his test debut for Italy in last season’s Six Nations against Scotland. The speedster picked up from his form last season with two tries against Ulster in the opener this season. He can create something from nothing.

Dave Sisi

An England u20 international, Sisi has 28 caps for Italy and appeared in their RWC campaign. Sisi is a powerful ballcarrier and a natural leader on the pitch that his teammates will often look to. Sisi spent time at London Irish and Bath before making the move to Zebre and has become an integral part of their team since.

Gonzalo Garcia

An Argentian international, Garcia is a tricky scrum half that can pose a threat to any side. He’s a quick decision maker that can often force a defender into committing before delivering a killer pass for a try. Don’t be shocked if you see Garcia try to sneak down the edge of a ruck.

Garcia made his debut for Argentina against New Zealand in the 2021 Rugby Championship.

Join us on this Saturday 28th October against Zebre, kick off 1pm. We'll be celebrating Justin Tipuric's 200th cap: it's an incredible achievement for the man in the blue hat and we need as many supporters as possible to pack the stands and show our captain what he means to our region.
