The Ospreys are proud to announce a ground-breaking new partnership with Ffynone House School, which will bring invaluable benefits in the development of young Ospreys talent.
This multi-year agreement will see Ffynone House School become a prominent partner of the Ospreys development pathway, with their brand featuring exclusively on the front of both the U18 and U16 Ospreys jerseys.
As well as the front of shirt sponsorship, the partnership provides a first class educational support to the player development pathway. As part of the collaboration, Ffynone House School will provide a scholarship to an Ospreys Academy player. The initiative ensures Wales’ brightest rugby prospects can pursue academic excellence alongside their professional rugby aspirations and enables the Ospreys to retain their talent in the region.
The partnership represents a shared vision between two historic Swansea institutions dedicated to nurturing the next generation of leaders, both on and off the field. Ospreys u18s player, Jacob Jones, will be the first player to receive a scholarship through the academy.
Development Pathway Manager for the Ospreys, Gareth Walters, said: “We are delighted to be delivering this fantastic partnership with Ffynone House School. Their commitment to academic excellence aligns perfectly with our goal of developing well-rounded individuals within our academy.
‘We felt Jacob was an excellent fit for a scholarship; he is a hard worker whose academic aspiration aligns well with his rugby aspiration. This joined-up approach with Ffynone House means that we will be able to centrally service Jacob and ensure that he is given the best platform possible to build his future from, and we hope to see more of our academy players benefit through this relationship.”
