Max Nagy signs new deal with Ospreys

The Ospreys are thrilled to announce that full back, Max Nagy, has committed his future to the team by signing a new deal. This is a clear statement of intent from the club about securing its brightest prospects and continuing investment in its pathway talent.

Nagy, a product of Buckingham Rugby Union Football Club, came through the Ospreys pathway via Swansea University and has shown remarkable progress over recent seasons.

Despite picking up an injury in early December, Nagy is still second in the BKT URC in metres gained, 7th in players beaten and 11th in carries.

Speaking on the new deal, Nagy said: “It’s an incredibly proud moment for me and my family. The Ospreys and Swansea University have been a huge part of my life; it's where I’ve developed as a player. I'm excited about what the future holds for us as a team and I’m looking forward to contributing to our goals as a club."

Head Coach, Toby Booth, said: “Max is a testament to our player development pathway and his athleticism and skill set make him an invaluable member of our team.

“He's got a very bright future ahead of him, and we’re all excited to see how much further he can take his game. With Max committing his future to the club, we continue to strengthen our core of young talent, which is essential for the long-term success of the Ospreys.”

Max’s allegiance to the team is a morale booster for the squad and sends a positive signal to the other young talents at the club.
