The Ospreys announced today that Efan Daniel had joined the team ahead of the 25/26 season.
Daniel, 22, made 24 appearances for Cardiff Rugby before making the switch to the Ospreys and has been tipped for a bright future.
At 6’1 and 109kg, Daniel has the physical attributes to influence the game in the loose, whilst also possessing a strong footballing ability.
The hooker was part of Wales’ touring squad of Australia last year and came off the bench in their win over the Queensland Reds last season.
Speaking on his move, Daniel said: “I’m really happy to have joined the Ospreys. The boys and coaches have been great since I got here and have all made me feel welcome, it’s like I’ve been here for a few years instead of a couple weeks.
“The Ospreys were the team I watched the most growing up, so I’m looking forward to putting on the black jersey and making an impact wherever I can.”
Head Coach, Mark Jones, said: “Efan is a player we have admired from afar for a while so it’s exciting to have him as part of our setup.
“We’ve got a good blend of youth and experience at hooker which is highly important with it being such a specialised position. We feel we're in a really strong position in our front row now and set up well for the season ahead.”
