Job Vacancy: Health and Wellbeing Officer

We are hiring!

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Health and Wellbeing Officer. Ospreys in the Community is a not-for-profit foundation working in close partnership with Ospreys Rugby. We share a strong relationship and form a key part of the Ospreys’ strategy. We work independently to the professional rugby organisation.

The Health and Wellbeing team deliver programmes across the region including Sporting Memories which helps older people to reminisce, replay and reconnect through the power of sport and physical activity.  We run sessions in several rugby clubs in our region which support a wide range of people including those living with dementia, living with depression, or facing isolation and loneliness to improve their mental and physical wellbeing.  The programme is dedicated to bringing older people together with the aim of making a positive difference in their lives by providing them with a welcoming, supportive, and structured environment where they can develop confidence to improve their lives for the better.

We are looking for a team player with the ability to plan and deliver Health and Wellbeing activities and initiatives for a range of programmes including Sporting Memories, Action for Children and Walking Rugby.  If you have experience of facilitating and delivering health and wellbeing activities and working in a community development setting this might be the job for you!

This role is a one year, full time, fixed term contract,  and will report into the Foundation Manager, working closely with the wider Ospreys in the Community team. The successful candidate will need to be available to work on Ospreys match days.
