The Eyasses completed a double over RGC 1404 on Sunday, with wins at both U16 and U18 level.
The U16’s cemented their place at the top of the WRU Regional Age Grade Championship with a comprehensive 38-10 win at Corus RFC, running in six tries.
The Young Ospreys took the lead with a try from Joe Thomas in only the first minute, and raced into a 26-0 half-time lead through further tries by Daniel Brooks (2) and Dafydd Howells, Joe Thomas converting one try and Liam Popham adding two more conversions.
After the interval, Michael Parmenter and Adam Rowlands both touched down, a Josh White conversion completing the scoring for the Eyasses, as David Bowen scored RGC’s only try, Osian Jones adding five points with his boot.
It was a much closer affair at U18 level, the Eyasses having to fight all the way to secure a 19-12 success. They led 9-5 at the break, all the points coming from Sam Davies. A second half try from Rhys Thomas, plus a further five from the boot of Davies ensured the win, with RGC’s points coming from tries by Lewis Baker and Owain Aled, and a Dion Jones conversion.
