Young fly-half confirms Connacht move

The Ospreys today confirmed that Matthew Jarvis is to leave the Ospreys at the end of the season after signing for Connacht.

Jarvis made his Ospreys debut as an 18-year old in a 32-16 defeat to Edinburgh at Murrayfield in November 2008, scoring 11 points in a game that was to be his only regional start. He featured on four more occasions as a replacement, most recently in the 16-15 win against his new club Connacht three months ago. His current contract expires at the end of the current season.

Elite Performance Director, Andrew Hore, commented:

“It is the nature of professional sport that players move and teams evolve with youngsters continuously developing and coming through the system, which in Matthew’s case has meant that he has found opportunities limited. We’d like to wish him all the best for his future rugby.”
