Membership trebles as 'sold out' signs go up...The ‘sold-out’ signs have gone up outside the Worthington’s 2003 Club 12 weeks ahead of the new season.
Membership numbers for the coming campaign have more than trebled, leading to the Club being permanently moved into the larger Morfa Lounge for 2013/14, and with enquiries still coming in a waiting list is being opened up for supporters still interested in signing.
Run by the Ospreys but officially hosted for us by the OSC, the Worthington’s 2003 Club is a dedicated area in the West Stand for Ospreys season members, allowing supporters to meet and mingle with likeminded fans in comfort pre and post match at every home game throughout the season, soaking up an old school rugby atmosphere.
Regular pre-match activity includes an Ospreys Q&A, guest speakers and music acts, while all members receive a free pint of Worthington’s or soft drink at each game.
Ospreys Commercial Manager, Yarnie Guthrie, said:
“To have completely sold out the Worthington’s 2003 Club in early June is excellent news. Having seen that the demand was there we made the decision to move to a larger room for next season, tripling the membership to a capacity of 180. To be able to fill it so quickly is a tremendous achievement.
“The support of Worthington’s is essential to the success of the 2003 Club, as is the backing of the OSC who make it such a welcoming venue for members that complements their ongoing post-match activity in their clubhouse at the Riversisde Lounge perfectly.
“Despite selling out we are still receiving a number of enquiries about the Worthington’s 2003 Club so we have made the decision to set up a waiting list so that should any spaces become available then we have interested supporters first in the queue to take them up.
“We also will shortly be launching a new match-day concept, the Black & White Lounge, where season-ticket holders, supporters and business people who want something special for selected matches throughout the year can enjoy the match with some hospitality on a match-by-match basis instead of needing to commit to a season-long product. We ask supporters to keep an eye out for news on this in the coming weeks."
