Wish Dad a happy Ospreys Father’s Day…

The Ospreys family have come together to create an alternative Father's Day message this year.

The Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby Senior and Junior Teams joined with the Ospreys Supporters Choir last month to record a short video to celebrate Father's Day with the assistance of staff and the recording facillities at Pontardawe Arts Centre.

The message includes them singing the National Anthem 'Land of my Fathers' and wishing the recipients a Happy Father's day.

The video is available at

and the group are asking that members of the public visit the site and copy or play the link to their Fathers and /or Grandfathers as a Father's day message of thanks. The group suggest a donation of £3 which will be used towards the costs involved in running the teams.

The Wheelchair Rugby Team is the only wheelchair rugby team based in South Wales and the juniors are the first team to be set up in the UK.

Ospreys WR Chairman, Reverend Steve Jones, said:

“The Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby Teams are very thankful to the Ospreys Supporters Choir for initiating this creative and innovative way of fundraising for the teams whilst at the same time celebrating Father's Day. Hopefully dads and grandads all over Wales will enjoy the online rendition of the national anthem in the knowledge that their family's donation will also be supporting the development of wheelchair rugby in our country."
