Watch the next generation vs Cardiff for just £15

The Ospreys will welcome Cardiff Blues to the Liberty for a Welsh derby in the LV= Cup next month, with all adult tickets at the special price of £15, while OAP’s, students and kids will pay just £5

The match, which is untelevised, will take place on Friday 15th November with a 7.30pm kick-off, and will give Welsh rugby fans a chance to watch the next generation of talent at the one-off reduced price.

It will be the second game in this year’s competition for the region, after they open their campaign with a trip to old foes Leicester Tigers the previous weekend.

The Liberty Stadium will be the only place to see the game, and with all categories of adult ticket priced at £15, management at the one true region are hoping to see a big crowd present to support the cause.

Chief Executive, Andrew Hore, said:

“We are excited about welcoming Cardiff to the Liberty Stadium for the first time in this competition, for a contest that will see some of the best young Welsh talent going head-to-head at the best regional rugby venue. Wales play Argentina on the Saturday afternoon so what better way to kick off a big weekend of rugby with a local derby to get the pulse racing?

“The LV= Cup has been a fantastic competition for us in terms of developing players and giving them valuable experience as they make the next step along the pathway. Names like Justin Tipuric, James King, Eli Walker and Hanno Dirksen roll off the tongue of any Ospreys supporter these days, but they all first made an impact for the region in this competition.

“It’s not just players, we’ve utilised this competition to help develop coaches as well, with Steve Tandy and Gruff Rees both taking their first steps as a senior regional level in the LV= Cup and we’ll be looking to do the same once again.

“This is an opportunity for supporters to get a glimpse of the next generation coming through, the next players who may make their mark in an Ospreys shirt, against their counterparts from Cardiff.

“By charging a flat fee of £15 for all adults, we are making the prospect of an evening at the derby match even more appealing and hope to see plenty of supporters from both teams taking advantage of this great deal. This game is not being televised so there really is nowhere else that you will get to enjoy what should be a fantastic match.”

The Ospreys will face Cardiff Blues on Friday 15th November at 7.30pm, with all adult tickets costing £15, kids and concessions just £5. Tickets will be available to purchase from the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, online at www.ospreysrugby.com/buytickets and via the Ticket Hotline on 0844 815 6665 from 10am on Monday 21st October.
