The Ospreys managed to put the previous week's EDF Cup disappointment behind them to pull off an impressive win at Ravenhill on Friday night.
The visitors had the best of the early exchanges with two James Hook penalties putting them 6 points ahead after the first quarter. Clinton Schifcofske landed Ulster's only score of the first half with a penalty in the 28th minute.
After the break, the Ulster full-back missed two successive kicks before slotting one over three minutes later. Then came an Ulster try as Niall O'Connor launched a cross kick which sat up nicely for Simon Danielli who dived under the posts to give Schifcofske the straightforward conversion.
The lead was cut by James Hook when Ulster were penalised from the restart. Soon after, a Jonny Vaughton chip-and-chase nearly saw the winger get a touchdown. Ospreys started to pile on the pressure and after a series of drives, Filo Tiatia went over and was awarded the try by the TMO. James Hook converted to seal the win.
