Speaking ahead of their opening game, head coach Colin Beaton said:
“We are all looking forward to block two of the season. The squad is strong and its already apparent that the standards are high and there is competition across all positions for places. We are starting with a clean slate in block 2 so the players have got it all to play for.
“Having had two draws and a win in the first block we will be looking to improve on our defensive structure but maintain our fast attacking game. It is an important time for the players as they will be looking to be selected for the Ospreys Combined team and hoping to impress the development staff to earn a place in the C Group for next season.”

Ospreys West have been a mixed bag so far, bouncing back from a heavy defeat at the hands of Blues North (0-49) to defeat Scarlets East, 21-19, before a 17-all draw with Dragons South.
Head Coach for the U16s West Dai Jones said: “The coaching group have been very pleased with the improvements in the Squad since we have returned after Christmas. We have included a number of new faces who have been brought in following the talent ID process in October and November and also welcome back players who were carrying long term injuries.
“There has been a tangible increase in quality, attitude and maturity amongst the players and we are looking forward with real excitement to see how this transfers to the pitch. Any Regional Age Grade fixture against a Blues team is a huge challenge, there is a keen rivalry between our two regions and there have been some fantastic games in this competition over the years. I’m sure this week’s game will be no different.”
