The Ospreys have named an extended U16 group of players, selected from this season's District teams, as they look to work towards finalising the squad for the 2011/12 campaign.
The group named today will work with the Ospreys age-grade staff on a training programme over the next two weeks, after which the numbers will be reduced. The smaller group will then train weekly at the Llandarcy Academy of Sport throughout the spring, before a final squad selection is made ahead of next season.

Meanwhile, the coaching structure for the U16’s squad has been confirmed.
Head Coach David Jones continues, but he is joined in the team by a new Forwards Coach, Marc O’Kelly (Gower College Swansea Head Coach), and a new Backs Coach, Keith Hopkins (Cwmllynfell RFC). Ospreys and Scotland wing Nikki Walker continues his personal development as an attached coach, while Conditioning Coach James Prosser moves from the U18 set-up. Team Manager Graham Court and Physio Gareth Bate remain in place.
