Turkey and trimmings for the Ospreys

Christmas festivities arrived early for the Ospreys as they tucked into a hearty turkey lunch at Blasus, NPTC Group of Colleges’ training restaurant.

It’s the third year in a row that the Ospreys have enjoyed a tasty Christmas lunch prepared by staff and hospitality students at the popular restaurant based on the Neath Campus. They were more than happy to make the return visit and for many of them it’s familiar territory as former students.

The restaurant has been training students and serving the community for more than 30 years. It provides students with a real work environment, providing training from Level One up to a Degree.

Paul Pearce, Deputy Head of Hospitality and Catering at the College, said: “We are delighted that the Ospreys have returned to Blasus for their Christmas lunch. It’s a great experience for the students who prepare and serve the food as part of their training.”

Ospreys Head Coach, Steve Tandy, said: “The team’s Christmas dinner at Blasus is now part of our tradition at this time of the year and we are grateful to be invited back each year.

“So many of us at the Ospreys are former students of the College so it’s fantastic to be able to visit and for the boys to enjoy what is always a brilliant meal prepared by the current students. We have a close relationship with NPTC Group of Colleges and this is just a part of that, but it’s a part that we probably enjoy the most!”
