Tondu and Quins claim U16 silverware with one

Two teams were victorious in the annual Ospreys annual U16's finals at Llandarcy Academy of Sport.

Tondu won the Bowl in an enthralling encounter against local rivals, Pencoed. The influential Paul Short scored nine of The Waterwheelers points as his team secured an important 24-12 victory.

The final of the plate saw Aberavon Quins claim five unanswered tries as they shrugged off the challenge from Nantyfyllon. Calvin Wellington helped himself to a brace of tries as the Quins earned a well-deserved 38-3 win.

The Cup Final will be held at St. Helens, Swansea, at 2:30pm on 22 April. Abercrave and Swansea Uplands will do battle for the top prize.

Congratulations to the winners and very well done to the runners-up who fought valiantly to get this far in the competition.
The teams will be taking part in a lap of honour with their trophies at the Liberty Stadium for the match against Treviso.
