This week we welcome the Leicester Tigers to the Swansea.com Stadium for our opening Heineken Champions Cup fixture.
Since Steve Borthwick has gone back to Leicester, they’ve been reaffirming their identity. They’re a physical, territory-based team and have a very good set piece. Alongside that, they’re Champions of England. You don’t get that title by accident.
We've had a good couple of training sessions in the lead up to the game that have been important. Reintegration is always a challenge, especially when you have 15 players that have been away on international duty. But it's been great to have that competition for places back because that allows us to perform better and more consistently.
We're on a tight turnaround from SA going into two big weeks against the English and French Champions in the Heineken Champions Cup, but we're here to play the best teams and test ourselves. That's what it's all about.
