Toby’s Welcome – OSPREYS V GLASGOW WARRIORS

In our second home game of the BKT United Rugby Championship 22/23 season, we welcome Glasgow Warriors to Swansea.com stadium.

As I have mentioned before, having our supporters in the crowd really does make a big difference, and we already saw this at critical times during last week’s game. Our player’s feed off the energy and support, and while the result may not have been the one we wanted, the team will always give their all for you.

Glasgow’s start of the URC season has been a tale of two different sides, one with international players in, and one without. After a loss in round one against Benetton, they responded as all good sides do, with a win at home against Cardiff Rugby.

We will be looking for a similar response and outcome this week, building on our consistency in order to play against the positive, ambitious side. It should be a good contest for two teams who are looking to go for it.

Last week, we paid a big price for some small moments, which is a credit to the opposition. However, we were happy about the way we attacked and the style of game we played, we have made big strides this year in both of our games.

Toby Booth, Ospreys Head Coach
"We still need to tighten up around some significant areas and basics, to ensure we make ourselves not just a good attacking force, but also harder to beat."

We have produced performances where we have been a little bit easy to take apart off the back of our own mistakes, where the opposition has had an opportunity to capitalise.

We know we want to grow our attacking game, and there is always a risk involved in that, and we accept that is part of trying to be the team we want to be, but we are trying to eradicate the bits we can control quite quickly.

Thank you for your continued support.
