The scene is set for the biggest ever Ospreys/Scarlets derby on and off the field after Ospreys in the Community confirmed details of TagFest II – the ultimate tag rugby festival for U7s and U8s.
Open to all junior clubs in the Ospreys and Scarlets regions, TagFest II will run from 9am to 1pm on Saturday 26th March at Bonymaen RFC, with all teams enjoying a minimum of four 10 minute TAG matches.
Each competing team will receive 10 child and 2 adult tickets to the hugely anticipated PRO12 derby between the Ospreys and the Scarlets at the Liberty Stadium that afternoon, as well as the chance to meet Ospreys players, and a certificate of participation.
It follows on from the inaugural TagFest at the end of November, when 40 clubs were represented on the morning of the Ospreys v Blues match, defying bad weather to enjoy rugby activity before heading to the Liberty to watch Sam Davies steer his team to a 13-6 win.

“TagFest in November was a huge success, despite the weather doing its best to spoil things, and it was fantastic to see more than 500 children engaging with us for a morning of activity prior to watching first class rugby live in the flesh at the Liberty Stadium.
“TagFest II is set to be even bigger and better. What a way to spend an Easter Saturday, with a morning of rugby competition before watching the biggest and best derby match in Wales. This year, with the race for the Champions Cup well and truly on, it’s set to be the most important game ever between the two rivals. It’s going to be a great day, packed with memories for everyone participating.”
This truly is an unmissable event and with a strict cap on the number of participating teams, undoubtedly the event will sell-out fast. The entry/administration fee is just £35 per team.
