Sword Security sign up as Premium Partners

Ahead of the return of supporters to the stands, we’re delighted to announce award-winning Sword Security as a Premium Partner for the upcoming season.

Sword Security is a global leader in the Crowd Management and Event Security Services industry and is one of an exclusive club of companies to sponsor the Ospreys new Umbro kit.

This is the second season of a unique global partnership between the Ospreys and Sword Security who share an ambition to be leaders both on and off the field.

Sword Security has managed and supplied staff for some of the biggest events in the calendar, including the London Olympics back in 2012, the Glastonbury music festival and match days for numerous professional sporting clubs.

The company has also provided management and staff for major sporting events across the globe, including the NBA’s All Star Weekend in Toronto and football’s Confederations Cup in Brazil.

While the Ospreys and Sword Security are always looking to expand and explore new marketplaces, they share a very deep-rooted commitment to the people and communities they represent.

With an office in Wales, and offices in England, Ireland and North America, Sword Security has built a reputation for delivering high quality customer service to Welsh clients and supporters for more than a decade.

Jason Hendy, Sword Security Regional Manager for Wales, said:

"We are now delighted to have been appointed as the Official Premium Partner to Ospreys Rugby, the leading regional rugby franchise in Wales.

“In these challenging times, it’s great news for our team in Wales to be working with such an amazing team.

“As a lifelong Ospreys fan, I am very excited to be involved in this project. I know it will be a great partnership as both brands are committed to supporting the community and demonstrating how valuable sport is to people's lives, especially in the current climate.

“We look forward to delivering safe events with the Ospreys in the coming years.

“We have had a base in Cardiff for more than a decade and we manage a lot of sporting events and we wanted to get involved in rugby in Wales.

“This is a new venture for us and the Ospreys are such a big name in the rugby world and it was a great opportunity to be involved with a club that is at the heart of the community.”

Nick Garcia, the Ospreys Chief Executive, said:

Competing in the United Rugby Championship and the Champions Cup takes the Ospreys around the world. However, nothing makes us happier than hosting global rugby fans and clubs, where they can meet our supporters and partners at our home in Swansea.

“As we begin to emerge from the global pandemic and welcome supporters back to the stands, we’re delighted to be working with Sword Security who share our vision and ambition to make the customer experience the focus and priority for spectators.

“As a Welsh-based company they have established a worldwide reputation of delivering some of the biggest sporting events on the world stage, providing excellent service to their customers and spectators. We look forward to working with them to build the best matchday experience across the new look United Rugby Championship and European Champions Cup competitions during the upcoming season.”
