Swansea school-children help kick-off Shane's

The first leg of Shane's farewell tour of the region was a huge success, with more than 200 local schoolchildren enjoying a sun-kissed morning at Swansea University playing fields, where they got to watch a team training session in full before meeting the Ospreys squad to collect photos and autographs.

Shane led his team-mates out for the event, which is the first of four over the next two weeks that will allow his supporters to say a personal goodbye ahead of what is scheduled to be his final game at the Liberty Stadium when the Ospreys entertain Newport Gwent Dragons on Friday 20th April, KO 7.05pm.

Children from Penyrheol, Sketty, Newton, Brynmill, Gwyrosydd, Hafod and Townhill Primary Schools were in attendance, all enjoying the chance to meet their rugby heroes.

The farewell tour continues into the Easter Holidays, which start next week, with public training sessions at Aberavon Greenstars RFC on Monday 2nd April at 2.00pm, Ystradgynlais RFC on Friday 6th April (11.00am) and Kenfig Hill RFC on Tuesday 10th April at 11.00am. All three training sessions are open to everyone, with all supporters invited to come along and pay tribute to a true Ospreys legend before he hangs his boots up!
