Swansea District set for battle of the cities

The Swansea District Development sides entertain their rivals from Cardiff at Waunarlwydd RFC on Friday 30th April.

There will be a full evening of rugby on offer for spectators, with the two cities facing each other in three age-grade matches, beginning with an under-12 contest at 6pm before the under-13's get underway at 7pm and the under-14's an hour later.

Admission is just £2 at the gate for adults, with children gaining free entry.

Ben Rose, Ospreys Community Rugby Development Officer for Swansea, said he is hoping for a good turnout on the evening:

"It is the final game of the season for these squads, and promises to be an excellent night's rugby with three matches taking place against Cardiff. With children getting free entry and adults paying just £2, I'd hope that we will get a decent crowd along to take a look at the exciting young talent on display, and maybe get a glimpse of some future Ospreys in action.

"District rugby plays a big part in the Ospreys elite development pathway, with representing the district an essential stepping stone for young players on their way to representing the region."
