Supporters Village set to rock to the sound of

With a big crowd anticipated at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday for the crucial Welsh derby against Cardiff Blues (KO 6.30pm), the Magners Supporters Village is back.

Opening for business two hours ahead of kick-off, the Village provides a great match-day meeting place for all the family, with live entertainment, rugby themed inflatable’s, player appearances and the OSC gazebo.

Live music comes from Swansea band The Fevers, who make a welcome return to the Liberty Stadium debut, taking to the stage at 4.30pm. Proving hugely popular on their previous appearances in the Village, The Fevers play an eclectic mix of music past and present, including covers from a wide range of acts including The Smith, The Sex Pistols, Oasis, The Batles, Simple Minds, AC/DC, Lady GaGa, Duran Duran and the Killers among others.

The interactive KidsZone will also open for action two hours before the game featuring a range of rugby themed inflatables such as try line tussle, bungee run, and passing targets, providing great fun for kids and older Ospreys alike.

Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, commented:

“It’s a huge game on Saturday, as derby matches between the two of us always are. With just three games remaining after this weekend, it’s a crucial one for us both, with the chase for a place in the top four going to the wire, so we’re expecting a big crowd and another great atmosphere.

“The Village will be open for business and with great entertainment for all the family, it will really help to ramp up the sense of excitement on what should be another memorable evening of rugby at the Liberty Stadium.

“We need our supporters to be there in numbers, really getting behind us, if we are going to achieve our aim of successfully defending our Magners League title.”

The Village will be open post-match for fans to meet and enjoy a beer as they discuss the game, but there will be no live music on this occasion. However the new OSC club-house in the Riverside Lounge will once again be open for those who enjoy a more traditional rugby post-match gathering. Ospreys players will make a post-match appearance, including the yet to be decided OSC/Worthington’s Osprey Player of the Month.

Tickets for the match are now available to buy at the Liberty Stadium Ticket office, online at www.ospreysrugby.com and via the Ticket Hotline on 087000 400 004.
