Supporters Choir to entertain crowd ahead of

Easter Saturday sees the Ospreys host Munster in a must-win Magners League clash, and the build up to the big-match will see a special appearance from the Ospreys Supporters Choir ahead of kick-off (6.30pm).

The Liberty Stadium is already guaranteed to be THE place to be for families this Easter weekend, with a host of activities taking place in the Supporters Village from 4.00pm before the action and entertainment moves inside the stadium bowl from 5.40pm, with the return of the ever-popular Ospreys Supporters Choir the undoubted highlight ahead of the 6.30pm kick-off.

They will take to the field at 6.00pm, to run through a series of much loved traditional Welsh tunes that are guaranteed to get fans singing along, along with one or two special treats.

It will be their fourth appearance at the Liberty Stadium since their debut ahead of the historic Ospreys V Australia clash in November 2006. Originally formed that year in order to compete in the S4C television programme Codi Canu, the Ospreys Supporters Choir continued performing once the series had finished in 2008 due to the desire of many members to keep the choir going in order to indulge their mutual love of rugby and singing!

They will be joined pitchside ahead of kick-off by gymnasts from Swansea's West Street Gymnastics Club, who will be performing from 6.15pm. Originally known as Gowerton Gymnastics Club, they were founded 34 years ago, growing as a club before moving to their current home in West Street. After receiving grant funding from the Welsh Assembly Government to refurbish their premises last year, they were formally reopened in September by Ospreys Tom Smith and Jonathan Spratt.

The pitchside entertainment is in addition to the regular activity at the Supporters Village, which will be open for two and half hours ahead of kick-off, with live music from Swansea band Rubix, appearances from players, face painting to help “Blackout’ the stadium, inflatables, an Army climbing wall, appearances from players and Ozzy the Osprey and exclusive giveaways, as well as a BBQ and an ice cream machine – all helping to make the perfect Easter day-out for all the family!

Tickets for the game are now on sale at the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office, online at this link, and via the Ticket Hotline on 08700 400 004, including Kids for a Quid in the Family Stand when accompanied by a paying adult.
