Supporter Coach Service - Important Update

Take up of our Supporters Coach Service has been limited, so we wanted to alert supporters that some of the routes may have to be dropped if supporters don't vote with their feet soon!

Ospreys Supporters Coaches - IMPORTANT UPDATE! From the outset of the current season's rugby campaign, Ospreys Rugby have been offering, on a six-game trial basis, coaches to transport supporters from each corner of the region. Conscious that transport can be a headache for a number of supporters, we've worked hard this season to offer a facility that offers value-for-money transport to & from the games.

The bus service runs from each 'corner' of Ospreylia, with routes starting from Oystermouth, Gowerton, Abercrave, Pencoed & Neath. Over the last couple of months, we've urged our supporters to take full advantage of the service. However, we regret that, assuming certain indications continue, we will need to withdraw certain routes due to lack of interest.

We've outlined below the number of passengers on each of the routes for each of our first few games, and would encourage all supporters to get on board over the next couple of matches so we can continue providing this facility for the rest of the upcoming season! As a rough guide, we would want an average passenger count of 30 to make a bus route viable.

Bus Service Pickup Points Testimonial Blues Ulster Quins
501 Port Talbot (via Baggle Brook, Neath & Skewen) 27 47 36 35
502 Gowerton (via Loughor, Gorseinon & Penllergaer) 4 11 7 28
503 Abercrave (via Ystradgynlais, Ystalyfera, Pontardawe, Clydach & Glais) 5 17 11 22
504 Oystermouth (via Blackpill, Sketty, Uplands, Quadrant & High Street) 13 16 20 21
505 Pencoed (via Bridgend, Cefn Cribbwr, Kenfig Hill, Pyle & Taibach)* 6 10 18 13
 * Note that from our Harlequins game, this bus also collects those journeying from Port Talbot & Bagglebrook, effectively making our 501 service a Neath & Skewen only service. As it stands above, though we did see a significant rise in numbers for our last fixture v Harlequins, the only viable route we are able to continue is the Neath route.

We would urge supporters, if they'd like to see a continuation of this service, to vote with their feet over the next couple of fixtures and utilize this convenient & economical match-day service!
