The Ospreys Summer Touch Rugby League kicked off this week at South Gower RFC.
The evening was a huge success with all participants, experienced Touch Rugby players and novices alike, all reporting a most enjoyable time.
Pride of place on the first evening went to the Fish Eagles, a team consisting of Ospreys management and staff, together with Escargot Turbo, the two teams won both their matches with the Eagles producing a marginally better try difference.
Ben Rose, Ospreys Regional Development Manager, and captain of the Eagles said:
“What an awesome start to the league. All matches were played in a tremendous spirit and all teams are looking forward to renewing battle next week”
Ospreys Community Rugby’s Tony Thomas said:
“This initiative is rapidly growing from small beginnings into an exciting event. It is still possible for teams to join the league and more information is available here. Alternatively, anyone interested in entering a team or joining as an individual, male or female, can contact me at tthomas@wru.co.uk or just turn up at South Gower RFC next Tuesday, 31st May at 6.30”
