Jonathan Spratt is facing another lengthy spell on the sidelines after receiving confirmation that he damaged knee ligaments during Tuesday night's game against a Regional Select XV.
The twice capped Wales centre had only recently returned to action after undergoing an operation to repair a disc problem in his back at the end of January, but after being helped off during the early stages of Tuesday’s match, he is facing surgery once again.
Head Physio Chris Towers confirmed:
“Jonathan suffered a left knee injury on Tuesday, and an MRI scan has confirmed our suspicion that he had ruptured his ACL.
“He will need to undergo surgery to reconstruct the ligament, after which we will have a clearer idea of timescales, and will be able to provide a further update in due course.”
