Show your support for young Ospreys with a

Ospreys skipper Alun Wyn Jones has called on existing season-ticket holders to make sure they don't miss out on the Loyalty Discount, which expires at the weekend.

Introduced for the first time this summer as a means of rewarding existing season-ticket holders for their ongoing support, the Loyalty Discount gives an additional £10 off the Earlybird price, and is available only to those who renew by Saturday 11th June.

With Category C season-tickets costing just £155 when bought prior to then, it works out at just £9 a match – or alternatively, for those who know they are unable to attend every game, it means they only have to get to eight of the 17 home games next season to recover their costs, and Jones reckons that is the kind of value that no Ospreys supporter can refuse.

“It’s an incredible bargain, it really is” he said.

“To think that you can watch the Ospreys at that kind of price is unbelievable, so I know what I would be doing if I was a fan, I’d be snapping my season-ticket up as soon as possible.”

Jones is set to spend the first part of the season away with Wales at the Rugby World Cup, but he believes that the players who will be pulling on the famous black shirt at the Liberty Stadium in his absence will really benefit from the backing of the Ospreys faithful. He commented:

“There is some excellent talent coming through the ranks at the Ospreys, guys who like most of us here are local boys and are proud to wear the shirt.

“They’ve shown what they are capable of over the course of the last year or so, they did exceptionally well last season and they will have a chance to shine again in September and October when they will put down a marker for a place in the 23 for the rest of the season.

“As local boys, they will thrive on pulling on the shirt and running out at the Liberty Stadium. That still gives me a huge buzz even now, so I can imagine what they will feel like. To have the support of thousands of fans, people from their own communities and local rugby clubs, can only inspire them onto bigger and better things for the Ospreys.

“It’s because of these youngsters that it’s important to invest in a season-ticket, to show your support for the future of rugby in the region.”

The Loyalty Discount expires at the close of business on Saturday 11th June, after which all season-ticket renewal prices rise by £10, bringing them in line with the already excellent value Earlybird prices, which apply until 11th August.
