Shane Williams and his Ospreys team-mates visited Aberavon Green Stars RFC on Monday afternoon, the second leg of his farewell tour of the region.
The Ospreys legend is set to call time on his successful career at the end of the season, with the home PRO12 game against Newport Gwent Dragons on Friday 20th April pencilled in as his farewell game.
In the build up to that match, Shane is leading the Ospreys squad on a tour of Ospreylia, which kicked off at Swansea University last week, stopping off Little Warren yesterday. The team took part in an open training session watched by local families and players from the minis sections of various clubs in the Afan Nedd District, before taking time to sign autographs and pose for photos. That was followed by an Atomic Touch session, where Ospreys players joined with with the various kids teams.
Shane’s farewell tour moves on to Ystradgynlais RFC on Good Friday, before ending at Kenfig Hill RFC on Tuesday 10th April, kicking off on both days at 11.00am, so why not come and join us to say goodbye to Shane - a true Ospreys legend?
