Sessions filling up ahead of Open Day

With three days to go until the first ever Ospreys Open Day at Llandarcy, the rugby sessions taking place throughout the day are filling up as supporters rush to take part in special coaching clinics.

A number of sessions are now fully booked, but spaces remain available in a handful of groups, with plenty of space still remaining for 5-7 year olds in Tag Rugby.

On what is going to be a fun packed day for all Osprey supporting families, there will be plenty going on to keep visitors occupied throughout, including an open training session for the senior Osprey squad which gets underway at 11.30am with all visitors able to watch without pre-registering.

The full schedule for the event, which gets underway at 9.00am, is as follows:

9.00 – 9.30am: Kicking Tutorial for 8-14yrsFULL

9.00 – 9.30am: Skills Games for 8-14yrs  FULL

9.30 – 10.30am: Crossfit/Gym Exhibition

9.30 – 10.00am: Tag Rugby for 5-7yrs

9.45 – 10.15am: Passing Tutorial for 8-14yrs  FULL

10.15 – 10.45am: Hookers Throwing Tutorial for 8-14yrs

10.30 – 11.15am: Skills games for 8-14yrs  FULL

10.30 – 11.15am: Tag Rugby for 5-7 yrs

10.30 – 11.15am: Physiotherapy & Strapping Tutorial

11.00 – 11.30am: Crossfit/Gym Exhibition

11.30am – 12.30pm: OSPREYS FIRST TEAM PUBLIC TRAINING SESSION

12.30 – 1.00pm: Kicking Tutorial for 8-14yrs  FULL

12.45 – 1.15pm: Hookers Throwing Tutorial for 8-14yrs

12.45 – 1.15pm: Tag Rugby for 5-7 years

12.45 – 1.30pm: Weights Tutorial (14+)

12.45 – 1.45pm: Coaches Q&A

1.00 – 1.30pm: Passing Tutorial for 8-14 yrs  FULL

To register for a session please email openday@ospreysrugby.comas soon as possible, stating the full name and age of the participant, and clearly identify the time slots and sessions you wish to register for.

As well as all the rugby fun, there will also be entertainment provided by The Wave, official radio station of the Ospreys, with popular presenter Phil Hoyles broadcasting his regular Saturday morning Welsh Chart Show live from Llandarcy, giving away goodies and special prizes from 10am.

The Ospreys Supporters Club will also be in attendance, signing up new members before the first home game of the season, the match against Bath at the Liberty Stadium on Saturday 18th August, and our primary sponsors RWE npower renewables will also be on site allowing you to find out more about their work in the local community. There will be refreshments available from the Sports Café on-site, ensuring energy levels remain topped up throughout the day, which runs from 9am-2pm.
