Season-ticket seat renewal deadline less than

Existing season-ticket holders are reminded that they have until Monday 11th July to secure their current seat, after which date all unsold seats will be released for general sale.

With more than two months still to go until the first Rabodirect PRO12 fixture of the 2011/12 season, sales for the new campaign are buoyant with year on year sales neck and neck, and fans planning on renewing are being urged to snap up theirs now to ensure they don’t lose their seat.

Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, commented:

“While there is still some time to go until the new season gets underway and we are still awaiting confirmation of the fixture list, we are reminding all existing season-ticket holders that they have until close of business on July 11th to guarantee their current seat as all seats will go on general sale the following day.

“Season-tickets offer tremendous value for money, with the Category C Earlybird price of just £165 meaning you can watch every Ospreys game this season for less than £10 a game. Alternatively, if you are concerned about not being able to get to every game over the course of the season, it still works out the most cost effective way of supporting the Ospreys for many people. For a supporter attending just nine games during the season, paying the matchday admission price for Category C would cost them more than if they bought a season-ticket, so even if you know you will miss up to eight games, then it makes sense to buy a season-ticket."

Adult season-tickets start at just £165, a 51 per cent discount on matchday admission prices, with OAP's and students paying just £125, while in the Family Area, one adult and up to four children can watch every Ospreys match in 2011/12 for just £165 also – that’s less than £10 a match for all five people thanks to the Kids Go Free initiative.

Meanwhile, existing season-ticket holders who introduce a friend who didn’t own a season-ticket last season will get a 25% discount on the cost of their renewal, with a 50% discount for two introductions, and if they introduce three they can get their season-ticket completely free.

Blyth added:

“Traditionally, the next week or so up until the deadline for seat renewals is one of our busy periods for season-ticket sales. Based on the reaction we’ve had so far this summer that will be the same again this year which will be fantastic news. With the Earlybird price still available on all season-ticket purchases through into early August we are hopeful that sales will continue to be buoyant.

“We appreciate that we are operating in what remains a difficult economic environment, which is why we have worked hard to provide real value for money in our season-ticket packages. We often hear people saying that prohibitive costs prevent them from getting to the Liberty Stadium as often as they’d like. The cost of the season-ticket packages mean that first class rugby is affordable for everyone.”
