Hundreds of Ospreys and Swans season-ticket holders have taken advantage of the 'Pride of Wales' initiative, allowing them to enjoy the best of both codes next weekend.
The special deal will allow fans to savour a weekend of top sporting action, rewarding season ticket holders for helping to make the two clubs the best in the West. It means Swans season ticket holders can sample top Magners League rugby for free as the Ospreys take on crack Irish side Leinster on Sunday, November 28 (5.00 pm), while Ospreys season ticket holders can experience top Championship football for free when Portsmouth visit the Liberty Stadium on Friday, November 26 (7.45pm).
The initiative has proven something of a hit with fans of both teams, with more than 400 Swans fans taking advantage of the opportunity to watch the Ospreys for free on Sunday afternoon, while in excess of 200 Ospreys fans will be cheering on the Swans on Friday night.
Supporters can continue to take advantage of the reciprocal offer right through next week, but will be unavailable on the day of either fixture.
Ospreys Managing Director, Roger Blyth, commented:
“It’s going to be a great sporting weekend for the Liberty Stadium and it’s fantastic to see supporters of both teams taking advantage of this offer. With a week to go until the first of these two games, I’d anticipate that these numbers will rise over the next few days as season-ticket holders make sure they don’t miss out on a great initiative.
“With two leading sports teams sharing one world class venue, it enables us to reward our loyal supporters with joint initiatives like this, with the obvious benefits to both us and the Swans of an increased support base.”
Ospreys fans can claim their free Swans ticket by taking their season card to the ticket office, while Swans fans should exchange voucher B.
