Scarlets clash set for Friday night lights…

The Ospreys will kick-off 2014 with a South-West Wales derby clash against the Scarlets on Friday 3rd January, KO 7.15pm.

The fixtures details were confirmed by PRO12 officials today, following the FA Cup Round 3 draw at the weekend, which saw Liberty Stadium partners, Swansea City, handed an away tie against Manchester United.

Supporters have been snapping up specially discounted tickets for the game over the last few weeks, with prices reduced as a gesture to loyal supporters who were committing to supporting the cause without knowing the day and time of the game.

Now that the fixture has been confirmed, we have agreed to a short extension to the deal, allowing anyone who buys their Scarlets match ticket right up until 8pm on Friday, to take advantage of the fantastic ticket offer.

This means that you can buy your tickets for the biggest game in the regional calendar between now and kick off on Friday at the Castres game, priced at just £15 (standard) or £20 (premium), with child and concession tickets priced at just £5 and £10 (standard/premium), making them the perfect stocking filler for fans young and old this Christmas.

After Friday, tickets for the big game will return to the normal price.

Ospreys skipper, Alun Wyn Jones, urged Ospreys supporters to rally behind the cause and snap up tickets now:

“We’ve got some big games between now and Christmas, with Castres home this weekend and the Blues away next week, but there’s no doubt that supporters already have an eye on the back to back derbies against the Scarlets.

“The derby match is a unique fixture with a very special atmosphere and is always a great atmosphere that we all enjoy being a part of. It’s not just about local pride though, it’s a hugely important PRO12 game in it’s own right, and a night at the rugby is the perfect way to round off the Christmas holidays and kick-off the new year.

“With the special ticket deal extended until kick-off on Friday night, now that we know exactly when the game is being played I’d expect fans to snap up tickets at a great price before they all go.”

Supporters can buy tickets for this game at the special price from the Liberty Stadium Ticket Office now, via the Ticket Hotline on 0844 815 6665, and online at www.ospreysrugby.com/buytickets, right up until 8.00pm, after which they return to the normal pricing structure.
