Former Osprey David Bishop has joined Guinness Premiership side Sale Sharks for pre-season training.

25 year-old Bishop was released at the end of last season after making 28 appearances for the region between 2004 and 2009. Having missed three whole years because of a fractured kneecap that needed two operations, he returned to action in September 2008 and made six appearances over the course of 2008/09.
He is now training with Sale ahead of the forthcoming season, and Director of Rugby Kingsley Jones said:
"We have invited David to train with us. David has played at several levels for Wales including U21's but has suffered from injuries over the last couple of seasons. He is looking for a fresh start and if he does well with us we may sit down and talk to him about signing."
