Rugby returns to St Helen’s this Saturday, 10 October, with Swansea RFC v Ebbw Vale at 2:30pm.

The opening schedule has been updated to allow additional time for final operational sign-offs to be completed across the venue.

Gower College and Swansea University games scheduled for Wednesday 7 October, along with the Dewar Shield fixture scheduled for Friday 9 October, will now be played at alternative venues. We would like to thank the teams involved for their flexibility as work at St Helen’s continues at pace.

This weekend’s fixture will operate from the JCP Solicitors Stand only.

Ticket holders for Swansea RFC v Ebbw Vale who have purchased tickets in the Family Stand or Terrace will be contacted directly by Swansea RFC and reallocated a seat in the JCP Solicitors Stand.

All activity scheduled from 12 October onwards remains as announced. Swansea RFC v Cardiff RFC on Thursday 15 October remains a major milestone in the build-up to the Ospreys’ opening night against the Dragons on Saturday 24 October (KO 7pm), followed by Cardiff Rugby on Saturday 31 October (KO 7:45pm).

Richard Lancaster, Managing Director (Business) of the Ospreys, said: “Bringing a ground with this much history back to life is a major undertaking, and we are bringing areas of the venue into use as they are signed off.

“We’re grateful to the teams and supporters affected this week for their understanding and flexibility, and we’re looking forward to welcoming competitive rugby back to St Helen’s from Saturday.

“There is a fantastic programme ahead of us throughout October, culminating in our first two Ospreys home fixtures against the Dragons and Cardiff Rugby.”

We’re asking Ospreys supporters and the wider community to get behind these early fixtures and play their part in bringing St Helen’s back to life.
