After the abandonment of the last meeting between the Young Ospreys Under 20's and their Dragon counterparts, they now go head to head at South Wales Police RFC tonight (Tuesday).
Since the last game the Young Ospreys lost a hard fought game with the Blues while the Dragons lost heavily to the Scarlets. So tonights' encounter is vital for both sides if they are to get back on track and qualify for the Reebok Final. Both teams are without their Academy players who are being fitness tested this week and are not allowed to train and play until the testing is carried out. Therefore there are opportunities for a number of players to give Head Coach Garin Jenkins and his Assistants a selection problem as to who to leave out for their next fixture at Stradey Park on Wednesday 25th October. The team will be captained for the first time by Aberavon wing James Pike.
Tomorrow (Wednesday) night the Under 18's play the Scarlets at St Helens, Swansea, showing one change on the bench from the original selection where Sam Soul is replaced by Mathew Davies.
Team: Young Ospreys Under 20’s v Dragons at South Wales Police RFC Tuesday, October 17th, 2006. |
