The Ospreys will get the new GUINNESS PRO12 season underway against Benetton Treviso at the Liberty Stadium on Friday 5th September, at 7.35pm.
The schedule up until Rd 13 in January has been confirmed today, allowing supporters to begin planning for the new campaign in earnest.
Rd 2, the first Welsh derby of the season against the Dragons at Rodney Parade the following weekend is also on a Friday night (12th September) at the new kick-off time, 30 minutes later than in previous seasons.
Edinburgh then visit the Liberty Stadium on Sunday 21st September for the new S4C slot (4.00pm KO) before the Ospreys travel to Thomond Park the following Saturday (6.30pm KO).
The first weekend of October sees the Ospreys travelling to Italy to face Zebre on Friday 3rd, before the Liberty Stadium hosts its first Wesh derby of 2014/15 on Sunday 12th October with Cardiff Blues the visitors (4.00pm KO).
After a two-week break for Europe, the PRO12 is scheduled to return at the end of the month, with the Ospreys pencilled in to face Connacht at the Liberty Stadium on Friday 31st (7.35pm KO) dependent on a resolution of the fixture clash with the LV= Cup RD1.*
Rd 8 sees the Ospreys travel to face Ulster on Friday 21st November (7.35pm KO), and they return to Ireland on Saturday 29th to face Leinster (5.15pm KO).
After another European break there’s a quick fire return leg against Ulster, this time at the Liberty, on Saturday 20th December at 5.15pm.
Over Christmas there is another double header against the Scarlets following the success of last year’s back to back fixtures. The Ospreys are at home first, a 5.15pm kick-off on Saturday 27th December, before making the short trip west on Saturday 3rd January, with kick-off 10 minutes earlier.
The final dates confirmed are the RD13 fixtures, which see the Ospreys home to Newport Gwent Dragons on Sunday 11th January at 4.00pm.
Fixtures arrangements after that will be confirmed later in 2014.
*Regional Rugby Wales is still awaiting feedback from the WRU regarding the fixture clash between RD7 of the PRO12 and RD1 of the LV= Cup. The Regions will update supporters and commercial partners at the earliest opportunity.
