Bookings are still being taken for the Ospreys in the Community half-term Kids Camp and the first ever ‘senior’ camp for 13-17 year olds.
Over 180 children enjoyed the sold out summer kids camps where they learned new rugby skills and made new friends in a non-pressurised environment, as well as meeting Ospreys players, and next weeks camp is expected to prove just as popular with young rugby fans from across the region and beyond.
In addition, details of a brand new initiative aimed at older children have been confirmed.
The first ever ‘senior’ camp for 13-17 year olds will be held at Llandarcy Academy of Sport on Friday 30th October, with participants experiencing nutrition and strength and conditioning workshops, as well as position specific and tactical and technical coaching.
Running between 8.30 and midday, the course will give young rugby players a real insight into what it takes to become a pro rugby player with their region as Ospreys in the Community coaches share the same techniques used by the senior regional counterparts.
The day will round off a busy week at the Ospreys’ training base, with the three-day half-term camp for children aged 6-12 taking place Monday to Wednesday.
All courses are operated jointly by Ospreys in the Community and NPTC Group.
The one-day ‘senior’ camp on Friday 30th October runs from 8.30am-midday and costs £20 per child.
The three-day kids camp runs from Monday 26th – Wednesday 28th October and costs £30 per day or £70 for all three.
