Philtronics Announcement

Philtronics continue as a kit sponsor and Premium partner for the new season

The Ospreys are proud to announce that Philtronics are a kit sponsor and Premium Partner for the 2020/21 season.

Philtronics is based in Hirwaun and was founded in 2003, employs 75 local people and has a turnover of £10m. The company is in its third season as a kit sponsor and its logo will be on the back of the new Ospreys shirt.

The company is a key supplier of full turnkey product into the Global Semiconductor/Wafer Fabrication sector and recently produced the Canute 360, the world’s first affordable, multi-line Braille e-reader.

Philtronics first came on board with the Ospreys seven years ago as a hospitality partner and sponsor before becoming a Premium Partner over the last few seasons.

The Ospreys and Philtronics have forged a close and rewarding partnership to help charitable causes, helping those who need support and those initiatives have had a major impact in the community.

Philtronics has played a key role with the Ospreys in the Community foundation supporting the Action for Children charity and the Walking Rugby festival.

Simon Pritchard, Managing Director of Philtronics Group.
“The reason for joining the Ospreys, and we are now into our seventh year as partners, is because the values the Ospreys adopted of family, team and community spirit matched our own values at Philtronics."

“The brand alignment became a no brainer and for us to be able to collaborate with big companies, like Keytree and SWA, has given us opportunities we probably wouldn’t have had before.

“When you have the opportunity to go on networking trips with the Ospreys, people relax and get to know you on a personal level and then business becomes a very easy subject when you know someone on a personal level.”

Wayne Hall, Ospreys Head of Sales, said:

“All of us at the Ospreys are excited and delighted that Philtronics are on board with us again."

Wayne Hall, Head of Sales, Ospreys Rugby
"They have been tremendous partners to the Ospreys and to see them continue demonstrates what a close and good relationship we have built over the years. I know nearly all of their staff are big Ospreys supporters."

“The values of the Ospreys and Philtronics are very much in step with each other.  Simon played a key role in bringing Action For Children’s Byte Night to the Liberty Stadium, when more than £22,000 was raised for the charity to help raise awareness of Youth homelessness and Mental health issues within the community. And, it is those kind of partnerships that have proved to have a real value to all of us in our community.”
