Ospreys Physio Chris Towers has confirmed that Kristian Phillips sustained a dislocation of the left shoulder during Friday night's Magners League match against Leinster at the Liberty Stadium.
PHILLIPS FACING OPERATION Phillips met with a specialist today, who confirmed that he will require surgery to repair the damage. The usual recovery time for such an injury is around six months, meaning that he will not play again this season.
In addition, David Bishop left the field with a nasty laceration to the right ear, which required hospitalisation on Friday evening. He was treated by a specialist team on Saturday morning before being released the same day and is now recovering at home. A decision regarding a date for his comeback will be made following further consultation with doctors later this week.
