Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby receive £33,400 donation

Ospreys Wheelchair Rugby Club recently attended The Freemasons Hall in London after receiving a £33,400 donation from The Mark Benevolent Fund.

The donation enabled four of the team’s players - Julian Martin, Claire Blackburn, Gareth Stokes and Arran Flay to have bespoke rugby chairs made for them by Roma Sports, Bridgend.

Other donations raised last year also left enough in the pot to get another two bespoke rugby chairs made for Lauren Parsons and Nathan Flay.

After the initial welcome at the hall’s reception, all guests were invited into the Grand Hall to have a quick look around before the Freemasons Procession took place.

Following that, the presentation commenced, which included centuries old Freemasonry Traditions.

Attendees then watched thank you videos sent in from all recipients and listened to heart-warming speeches from different charities before heading over to another hall for a late lunch.
