Ospreys vs Dragons: Ones to Watch

The first Welsh derby of the season is upon us. Ospreys travel to Rodney Parade to face the Dragons on Saturday and with that in mind, here is this week’s Ones to Watch.

Bradley Roberts

A South African born, Welsh international, Roberts was plying his trade for Ulster before joining the Dragons.

Similarly to the Ospreys, the Dragons are blessed in the hooker department with both Elliot Dee and Bradley Roberts available for the game on Saturday. Roberts is 31st in the BKT URC this season and brings power and dynamism to the Dragons line up.

Rhodri Williams

A Swansea-born scrum half, Williams is captain for the Dragons on Saturday, highlighting the importance of his experience and leadership.

Williams has been an integral part of the Dragons in recent seasons, being named club captain in 2020/21 and 2021/22. Williams isn’t afraid to get amongst it as well, winning three turnovers for his team so far this season.

Rio Dyer

Dyer has been a revelation over the last year, for both club and country. A speedster, Dyer was a standout performer in the Dragons’ win over Ospreys at Rodney Parade.

The winger has also become a regular feature for Wales recently and is one of those players that can make something out of nothing. He had most productive season to date in the 2022/2023 season making fifteen appearances and scoring seven tries making him the club's top try scorer that season and was named Dragons Players' Player of the Season.
