OSC Sportsbreak 2

Introduction / Cyflwyniad

There can be few Ospreys supporters that weren’t disappointed with the result at the Sportsground in Galway last weekend. Dreadful conditions did little to ease the difficulty of playing Connacht at their home ground, but today is a different challenge, which sees us welcome the men of Ulster, here to the home of the Ospreys. There is little doubt that we will have to be on our best form to be successful tonight!

Mwy na thebyg, roedd y mwyafrif o gefnogwyr y Gweilch yn siomedig iawn yn dilyn y canlyniad mas yn Galway, nos Wener ddiwethaf. Heno, yn ôl yn Abertawe, rydyn ni’n wynebu prawf newydd wrth herio Ulster. Bydd rhaid i ni chwarae ein gorau glâs, i lwyddo heno!

Ser y Dyfodol / Future Stars

"Mae David Francis yn 17 mlwydd oed ac yn rhan o'r Academi Ifanc y Gweilch. Ei uchelgais yw i studio ym Mrhrifysgol Abertawe ac chwarae dros Gweilch. Mae David yn chwarae blaenasgellwr agored i'r Gweilch dan 18 ac i'w glwb Blaendulais, yn dilyn ei dad, Dafydd a'i dadcu Hywel, yn ddiweddar wnaeth David llwyddo chwarae gêm dros ei glwb wrth ochr ei Dad yn erbyn Ystradgynlais. Mae'n wir i ddweud bod David yn dod o teulu rygbi cryf ond teulu Gweilch hefyd!"

"David is 17 years of age and is in the Ospreys Junior Academy. His ambition is to study at Swansea University and to play for the Ospreys next year. David plays open side flanker for Ospreys Under 18s and his club Seven Sisters. He not only follows in the footsteps of his Grandfather Hywel and his father Dafydd, but managed to play alongside his father in a recent League encounter versus Ystradgynlais!

Indeed, David is not only from a good rugby family he comes from an Ospreys family!"

OSC Ser y Dyfodol Ulster 2

Our second future star is Oscar Ostrum, from Morriston RFC, where plays for the Under 8 Team. There are no designated positions at this age group, but Oscar sees himself as a speedy wing in the years to come!   He hopes to have his own season membership next season!  Stick to it Oscar!

Mae Oscar Ostrum yn chwarae dros tîm dan 8 Treforus.  Mae e’n gobeithio cael tocyn tŷmor y flwyddyn nesa!   Dal ati Oscar!
