Comment from Head Coach, Lyn Jones:

"We are delighted to have confirmed our qualification for next seasons Heineken Cup and it has been great to have generated some momentum over recent months as we start preparing for next season. Although is sad to reflect that it was just one year ago that we were experiencing the glory of winning the Celtic League at the Gnoll we can look ahead to next season in a confident frame of mind. Having said that it is ironic that we now face an Ulster side coming to the Liberty Stadium looking to win the league, while we are battling it out with the Scarlets to finish as the second placed Welsh region"

"Ulster have chosen a side that signals their intent for Fridays match and we have done the same. It is important that we finish strongly and we are keen to maintain the credibility of the Celtic League as a competition.

Ulster were very unfortunate not to get a win at Stradey Park last weekend and I am sure they will be looking to secure the silverware at the Liberty"

Barry Williams will stand down as Ospreys captain next season, prompting Lyn Jones to comment:

"Barry has been an inspiration over the last two and a half years, since he took over from Scott Gibbs. There have been times when he literally drove the team forward with his consistent top quality displays. When he first took on the role of captain he almost singly headedly turned the season around and his contribution to Ospreys Rugby as Captain has been phenomenal.

I am sure he will relish the challenge of battling it out for pole position next season with our other two quality hookers"
